2023 Healthiest State Annual Awards finalists announced

Winners of the Healthy HometownSM Powered by Wellmark, Workplace and Individual categories to be announced at the 2023 Workplace Wellbeing Conference

The Healthiest State Initiative has announced the finalists for the 2023 Healthiest State Annual Awards. Communities, workplaces, individuals, youth, schools, early care sites, out-of-school programs, and health care providers will be recognized for their efforts to improve the physical, social and emotional well-being of Iowans. The finalists in the 8 categories include:

“This year’s finalists are inspiring examples of how to support Iowans where they live, learn, work and play,” said Jami Haberl, Healthiest State Initiative executive director. “We are proud to shine a light on their hard work to make sure every Iowan has the opportunity to live their healthiest life.”

Winners of the Healthy Hometown SM Powered by Wellmark, Individual and Workplace categories will be announced at the 2023 Workplace Wellbeing Conference on April 20th. Winners of the K-12 School, Early Care, Out of School, Youth and Health Care categories will be announced at the 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count! Summit on October 25th.

Each winner will be awarded a monetary gift to continue their efforts. The 2023 Healthiest State Annual Awards are sponsored by Wellmark® Blue Cross® and Blue Shield®, HealthPartners UnityPoint Health, Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Malvern Bank, Holmes Murphy, and the Iowa Medical Society.

Iowans are invited to join us for the awards ceremony at the Workplace Wellbeing Conference on April 20th for the announcement of winners in the Healthy HometownSM Powered by Wellmark, Workplace and Individual categories as well as a day full of educational sessions featuring national and local speakers.
