You Can Make a Difference in Iowa
Creating a healthier future for Iowa will take all of us. By supporting the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, you help ensure every Iowan has the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Your donation strengthens access to fresh and healthy food, supports mental health awareness, and builds healthy habits in schools and communities across the state.
We are a non-profit organization with a small team with a big mission, and your support creates real impact for Iowans in your community, and others like it, from Davenport to Sioux City. A gift of $50 provides 61 servings of produce to a food insecure family, trains a Make It OK ambassador to fight stigma, and provides resources to Iowa schools, workplaces, and early care sites to reinforce heathy habits in Iowans of all ages.

Many employers offer matching gifts for donations made by their employees. If you're 73 or older, the IRS requires you to take a Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from your retirement accounts each year. A QCD allows you to give directly from your IRA to a qualified charity, such as the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, and count that amount toward your RMD (up to $108,000 in 2025).
