Soft Trail Stroll: Fourmile MTB Park Hydro and Flow

Let’s check out Fourmile Mountain Bike Park’s new parking lot! We will leave from there at 10:00 a.m.

We will head north on old 42nd and enter the trail system. We will turn right and take the trail to the other side of the creek. Last time we were here the group said they would like to explore the flow trails since they are open to hikers. We can vote to see if we want to do that clockwise or counter-clockwise. If my math is right, it will be about 1.5 miles.

If the dirt trail is muddy, we will walk the paved trail around the lake. Either way, we will walk slowly, think “stroll,” and no one will be left behind.

Fourmile Mountain Bike Park is nicely hilly. Hiking poles are useful, particularly where we cross construction area and on the hills, but not a necessity.

This free Soft Trail Stroll series is designed to help people looking for a simple way to become more active. The events are for people of all ages (and dogs on leashes)—anyone who fancies a stroll!

The second purpose is to increase appreciation of our local soft trails. What is a soft trail? Simply, it is an unpaved trail. Its surface may be dirt, grass, or crushed rock/gravel. I am an avid mountain biker and know all these trails very well. I can guarantee that no one will get lost!
