Formed in 2011 by World Speed Skating Champion Romina Muse, the Des Moines Derby Brats roller derby teams provide area youth with an alternative sport opportunity that fosters discipline, team work and social acceptance in addition to rockin' skating skills! This year the Des Moines Derby Brats will host the bout against Iowa City Bruisers. Endorsements for the event will help cover the costs of required officiants to referee and on-site medical staff.
