5-2-1-0 is a New Year's resolution for the whole family
“I’ll start on Monday” is no excuse this time. It’s a new year, and a new year means new resolutions. Why not set one for the whole family to word towards together?
This year, consider the four goals of 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count! to make 2019 your family's healthiest year yet.
Start with more fruits and vegetables
Make it a daily goal to get in 5 or more fruits or vegetables per day. Pack them for a snack in your kid's lunchbox (or your own) or mix them in with a meal, and get on the fast track to a healthy new year.

Limit your screen time
Try to limit your recreational screen time to 2 hours or less. Too much time staring at a bright screen can cause damage to your vision over time. Not to mention, when you aren’t on the phone or watching TV, you are more likely to be spending quality time together.

Increase your physical activity
Get active together! Try to get in at least 1 hour of physical activity every day. Bundle up and take a walk around your neighborhood or go to your local gym and log a few laps on the track. Set and achieve fitness goals as a family.

Eliminate sugary drinks
Rethink your drink! Make it your goal to have 0 sugary drinks each day. Everyone knows that soda contains a lot of sugar, but did you know that sports and energy drinks contain a lot of sugar too? The best bet is to always choose water. Make it fun and add some fruit or motivate yourself with a new water bottle.
