The most wonderful time of the year is here. That’s right! The Iowa State Fair.
The sights of millions of people, the sounds of children hollering with excitement in the Thrill Parks and the smells of deep-fat fried food have arrived at the fairgrounds.
Speaking of fried food — we all know the Iowa State Fair is famous for having almost any type of food you can imagine on a stick. Most of the fair favorites are fried, but did you know there are healthy alternatives at the fair, too?
Sticky candy and fried foods aren’t the best choices to fuel our bodies and can also be harmful to our teeth.
Mix up what you are indulging in at the Iowa State Fair this summer by seeking out one of these healthier options.
