4-H'er wins Grand Champion with
5-2-1-0 working exhibit

Trinity Konsbruck recently won Grand Champion at the Harrison County Fair with her working exhibit showing fairgoers how to make a 5-2-1-0 Healthy Choices Count! tracking bracelet.

Trinity, 12, is a member of the Missouri Valley Pioneers and said she wanted to demonstrate a fun craft that would help people remember the 5-2-1-0 healthy habits.

"I came up with putting beads on a bracelet," said Trinity. "I used string and color-coded them for each of the 5-2-1-0 habits so that if you are at a restaurant and you order something with fruit or vegetables, you could slide a bead over to the other side of your wrist to track that you have gotten one of your 5 servings."

Trinity said that while preparing for her working exhibit she learned more about incorporating healthy habits in her own life, including tracking her screen time, finding more opportunities to be active and becoming more knowledgeable about sugary drinks.

Congratulations, Trinity! Trinity will be competing virtually with her working exhibit at the Iowa State Fair. Here is her demonstration:
